The heat is on!

For those of you who are like me and were raised in public schools, this will be a ground shaker for you: Answers in Genesis CEO Ken Ham and Bill Nye the Science Guy (yeah, I know!) are going to be undergoing the biggest debate in Creation/Evolution history! I don't know about you, but I'm definitely streaming this on February 4th.

Personally, I am all for what Ken Ham represents at AiG. I hope to be someday be one of the many scientists that dedicate their research to glorifying God. With a debate, of course there must be an opposition. Some of my acquaintances believe that Ham is going to be dished on a silver dish by Nye primarily because of the attitude that Ham has toward Creationism and how he presents it. It's kind of understandable: I grew up watching Bill Nye the Science guy. He's a familiar face; therefore, it would seem logical to lean more toward him. I didn't learn about Ham and what he believes until my freshman year of college. What does Ham have to…

We are here, we are here, we are here!

I have just recently learned about this directory that compiles a multitude of Christian blogs together so believers can look at all that is offered to read. I thought that was intriguing, so I'm going to give it a try. Hopefully the directory people like what I have to offer for the glory of God. :)

I guess I'll be the blogspot guinea pig (I'm probably not the first one to do this, but it looks complicated.. I mean, look at the text links I need to paste. It looks like a different language! We'll see how it goes! :D).

For those of you who are not aware of what this abbreviation means, the title of this post is asking you "What Would Jesus Do?" It is a question that has been asked to me ever since I was barely able to read with my beginner Bible, but it's a difficult question to answer!

Tonight, I had the privilege of just laying on my bed, allowing my brain to wander. I was surprised where it landed and decided to linger: it stayed back at a time last year where I was going through immense heartbreak from a person who I thought was my friend but soon found after 2013 began that he wasn't. Even worse, they weren't.

Anyways, I didn't know why I would go back to that time in my life--that night that a person I thought was my friend was embracing me, crying in my ear as I crumbled into a vulnerable mush in her arms. It was a God moment by far, but why after so long was my mind going there? Old feelings began to rise: frustration, confusion, anger, many question…

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, a very Merry Un-Birthday to you, and Happy Kiss-A-Ginger day (didn't know about this one until this evening. Crazy, eh? O.o)! Phew. I think I got everything...

God certainly provides at all times. From our last litter of three puppies, the last (but certainly not least, the porker is just like his daddy! haha) went to his forever loving home yesterday. Everyone is so happy! Praise God! :) And of course there were plenty of laughs (see below).

I pray that you all had a great start to your 2014 and have a blessed year! Let's see where God takes this blog and all of us this year. :)

God bless!
